BRONZE TAPERED SHUTTER GLOBE VALVE

BRONZE TAPERED SHUTTER GLOBE VALVE FxF, PN16

Bronze globe valves with with tapered shutter.
Recommended for medium pressure water, gas and air systems.
Globe valves are linear control valves, since the shutter moves along an axis, therefore requiring a linear input command, or a screw to have a rotary command in input.

Working temperature:
Water- water steam: from –10°C to +180°C
Aeriform substances: from–10°C to +60°C
Threading: EN – ISO 228/1

FUNCTIONING
Inside the body, the flow area of the fluid is regulated by a moving shutter. When the obturator rests on the seat the valve is completely closed, when instead it is at its maximum distance, the valve is completely open, the intermediate position allows the flow regulation.
They are operated by means of a handwheel placed on the rod.
Inside the valve there is a reduction section, since the flow rate remains constant in the valve, the fluid speed increases.
The closure must be carried out exclusively by hand, without the use of levers, which would compromise the shape of the sealing devices.
ATTENTION:
Do not exert any force on the cover or on the shell.
In case of high temperatures, use hand protection gloves to act on the switching device.

INSTALLATION
For a correct assembly, install the valve following the flow direction indicated by the arrow stamped on the body. The globe valve can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. It is not permissible to mount the globe valve with the stem pointing downwards. Globe valves are regulating devices. The use of filters (see our items 411-412-411CM-412CM) is recommended to extend the service life as they are modulating instruments.
Do not exceed with the materia used on the threads for the sealing, the material has to be compatible with the fluid used.
Screw the valve onto the threaded pipes, positioning the key exclusively on the special hexagonal parts up to reach the valve lock on the pipe (this item has a thread-bottom stop where the pipe rests).
After connecting the valve to the pipes, check that the valve is not subjected to stress due to the pipes, then use heavy clamps to support the pipes.
Slowly open the upstream shut-off devices to avoid water hammer.
