SHANGHAI the city on the sea, just as the name implies: in Chinese Shanghai means “on the sea”.
The city overlooks the East China Sea and is crossed by the Huangpu River. It is also called the “Paris of the East”, “Queen of the East” or even “Pearl of the East”, fascinating for its history, both than the recent one of the last century.
The signs of the past can be found walking along the Bund, where it is possible to find lots of déco buildings , or through the Old Town, with its pagoda buildings.
The culture of Shanghai is a mix of West and East, of old and new, which hardly leave you indifferent.
