The air vent valves allow to eliminate utomatically, the air inside the heating and air conditioning systems, avoiding unwanted effects such as premature corrosion and wear, less circuit efficiency and reduced yield of heating bodies. Thanks to their automatic working, they allow certain phenomena deemed to be particularly harmful for the systems to be avoided with certainty and continuity over time.
In particular, it is possible to limit the effects of electrolytic corrosion (favored by an excessive presence of oxygen in the pipes) and of cavitation. Furthermore, they help optimize the heat exchange of the systems, since they avoid the formation of air pockets inside the heating bodies and fan-coil units.
The discharge rate of the automatic valves increases with the increase of the operating pressure of the system, until it reaches the maximum at an operating pressure of 10 bar.

INSTALLATION The automatic air vent valves must be installed only in a vertical position, at the closest point to the boiler or upstream of the system and, more generally, where the formation of air pockets is likely (distribution manifolds, riser columns, etc.) and with the cap facing upwards.
The valve can be left in the closed position by closing the cap on the drain; by loosening the cap, the valve remains in the open position and the air is discharged automatically. The sealing system is suitable to withstand vibrations and therefore is not affected by any external vibrations.
The float presses the shutter against its seat until it is lifted by the hydrostatic power. In the presence of air bubbles the float is lowered and the air comes out through the drain. The automatic operation of the air vent valves is based on a float sealing device: the opening and closing of the valve is determined by the movement (ascent-descent) of the float. In the presence of air inside the valve, the weight force of the float acts on the lever that is integral with the shutter, causing it to lower. In this situation the seat is free and allows the air to be vented outside.
When filling the system with water, the air contained in the hydraulic circuit is pushed outwards through the valves. When all the air contained is discharged, the water that enters the tank pushes the float upwards, consequently the lever brings the shutter to press on the seat ensuring the tightness of the system preventing the escape of the heat transfer fluid.
The design feature of this device allows the automatic elimination of the air from the plant during its emptying phases.
The air vent valves do not normally require maintenance.
The valves can be inspected by unscrewing the lid from the tank. The seal between the tank and the lid is granted by the presence of a gasket; in this way it is possible to clean the internal parts (float and lever) if foreign bodies enter the valve.
